Physician Clinical Leadership Program

Physician Clinical Leadership Program (PCLP) is a dynamic, hands-on experience that blends leadership theory with practical application. Participants will engage directly with UHealth’s senior physician and operational leaders to gain meaningful insights into the system’s strategic objectives, operational priorities, and the evolving landscape of academic clinical medicine.

Who Should Attend: 

  • UHealth physicians currently in, or preparing for, executive and administrative roles, Chief Medical Officers, Chief Clinical Integration Officers, Chief Executive Officers, Medical Directors, and other physician leaders ready to shape our organization’s future.
  • Be in good standing, not on a corrective action, or improvement plan
  • Must show strong leadership potential and a commitment to our mission of excellence in patient care, education, and discovery.

The structure:

  • A transformative 12-month, in-person experience.
  • Monthly interactive sessions led by senior physicians and field experts.
  • Real-world case studies and skill labs tailored to UHealth.
  • Sessions are typically held Friday afternoons.
By attending PCLP, UHealth physicians will focus on:
  • Our ABC Leadership Expectations, Achieves Results, Builds Great Teams, and Creates Clarity. 
    • Operational Excellence: Equip physicians with decision-making frameworks and data-driven tools to improve efficiency and outcomes.
    • Team Empowerment: Foster emotionally intelligent leadership and coaching capabilities to build high-performing teams.
    • Organizational Alignment: Strategic planning and communication for clarity and mission focus.
